<\/b>Wine is broadly separated into one of two categories: Old World or New World. Old world refers to Europe, while New World refers to basically everywhere else (USA, Australia, NZ, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, etc.) Due to both climate & winemaking traditions, Old World & New World wines vary stylistically. Think about a California Cabernet Sauvignon versus a Red Bordeaux\u2013 same grape, completely different styles.
\nIn this course, we will learn about the differences in Old & New World wine regions & how these factors impact wine style. We will do comparative tastings of key varietals from both the New & Old World, with the first class focused on whites and the second on reds. The best way to learn is through our taste buds, after all!\n<\/span><\/p> Syllabus:
